Membership

Go from idea to independent research in a real lab.

Member working in the lab

How It Works

In three months, you'll have designed, run, and completed your first independent project using professional equipment, real protocols, and living systems.

Staff guidance from day one — whether your project is bioart, speculative design, or something we haven't seen yet. All memberships begin with an application and an in-person safety orientation before lab access.

We provide equipment and basic consumables to get you started. Project-specific materials are your responsibility. Need reagents, cultures, or supplies that require a license to purchase? We can procure them on your behalf at no markup.

Try a Workshop First

Not sure yet? Drop in to any free public program or lab night. Workshops start at ₩50,000. Join within 30 days and your fee is credited toward your first month.

Lab Steward

A small number of positions for people who want to earn their access. Stewards commit up to 20 hours per week to lab operations including equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and event setup.

Benefits vest over time. At three months: base Member access. At six months: one free workshop and one guest pass. At twelve months: personal storage, project profile, grant letter of support, five free workshops, and two guest passes.

Stewards who continue past twelve months unlock Studio-level access, priority equipment booking, and official lab affiliation.
